Surf Camp Rules

I'ma copy Chris here and throw up a quick highlight reel from the past month or so. Here goes...

• While cleaning out Grandpa's garage, Dad found his grandfather's WWI uniform — complete with the gasmask and its instructions.
• With my fellow counselors at my side, we rocked the ORD Talent Show to new heights of rocking, covering The Beatles and Green Day plus lip/guitar syncing to Europe and Limozeen. One of the CITs even pulled off the dance sequence from a skit by Pedro Sanchez.
• I finished reading Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. I may have predicted some of the parts, but I didn't really think they'd happen. Book VII is gonna be great.
• I think my cousin Tim finally convinced his insurance to allow him to get he chemo done at UCLA. Now they're trying to tell him to get a different treatment than what all the doctors there recommend.
• We saw a pod of dolphins playing around at the beach yesterday at Surf Camp. Later in the day, I stepped on a sea urchin. Those little spinedies hurt. And so does Hydrogen Peroxide.

Surf Camp really is a kick ass job. I may not actually know how to surf and the wave may have a tendency to suck, but I'm still getting paid to try and surf them.

Next week, I'm driving out to Colorado with my mom to drop off a car for my brother. My nephew's getting baptized while we're out there. Should be a good time. And now, back to my regularly scheduled Guild Wars.
